Malaysia : Cyberjaya, Putrajaya Going To Start 5G Test Next Year
Putrajaya and Cyberjaya will be the pioneer of the 5G network test starting next year.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the two locations were ready for the network as it already had a complete fiber system in a wider area.
The Communications and Multimedia Commission will lead the 5G test by establishing a special team that will be participating in the Sepang Municipal Council, Cyberview and Perbadanan Putrajaya.
5G technology is a upgrade from 4G and LTE so it’s certainly going to make mobile technology more intelligent, fast and broad.
This price and technology emulation is a tremendous development as it makes telecommunications companies more competitive and economical to consumers.
If according to expectations, the 5G technology will arrive in 2020 globally, but for Malaysia, analysts are targeting 2022.
It depends on the facilities provided by the government and telecommunications companies. The 5G spectrum will be globally agreed in 2019 and the entire industry needs to produce the product as soon as it is agreed.
