Recently, Telekom Malaysia Berhad responded to various questions raised by government and consumers regarding products / services, technology, PRICES and service disruptions. In order to avoid any misinterpretation of the evidence, Myinternet2u posted the full TM statement sent via no edits as below.
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is grateful for the matters raised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in a press statement issued today.
We would like to clarify the matters stated by MCMC, as follows:
Complaints regarding TM products and services.
We want to note that TM is committed to improving our customer experience. We have a process where we always interact with MCMC for us to share customer experience initiatives.
We also keep in touch with our Streamyx customers via email, calls and SMS to inform about the free upgrade especially Streamyx customers in the unifi area, and for those outside the unifi coverage area, upgrades up to 8Mpbs or broadband solutions without 4G LTE wire.
We would also like to thank YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Communications and Multimedia as well as MCMC for highlighting the issues faced by our customers. We at TM are always attentive to hearing feedback from our customers, as well as our stakeholders and we have already made statements either individually on social media as well as through some media statements; the latest on October 16th (http://bit.ly/TMStatement16Oct) where we have outlined our planning details and its development.
Previously, we’ve been sharing the ongoing Streamyx client upgrade activity. To date, TM has completed upgrading more than 50% of over 340,000 Streamyx customers living in unifi coverage areas to unifi services; at the same price as their existing subscription plan. The remaining 170,000 Streamyx subscribers who have not yet joined the unifi community are encouraged to take this opportunity to get a free upgrade. We are aiming to complement this unifi upgrade activity by March 2019.
