Wireless Internet Access Services In Less Coverage For FREE.

The provision of wireless internet access services collectively to rural communities in less coverage for FREE.

Community WiFi Service
The Community WiFi service previously known as Wireless Village  is a hotspot WiFi service in the focus area.

WiFi hotspots refers to access points provided at each location to enable users to use the Internet via WiFi wave signals.

The focus area for KTW1M covers selected rural areas with less internet coverage.

PURPOSE & GOALS OF ESTABLISHMENT

The provision of wireless internet access services collectively to rural communities in less coverage for FREE.

Introduce interest and awareness of the importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in everyday life in line with the Government’s Community WiFi  initiative to foster a knowledgeable and progressive society.

The cache server is installed in the hub located at PI1M for internet smoothness.

Hub connected to 5 spoke WK.

Each spoke within 1 kilometer of the hub.

WiFi coverage for each spoke is within the range of up to 250 meters.

The internet speed for each hub and spoke is 4Mbps.

USE STEPS

  • Wifi bill on computer equipment or smartphone is turned on.
  • Find WiFi signals on the screen that start with the word KTW.
  • Select the most powerful WiFi signal (more than 3 bars).
  • Click the internet icon. The KTW1M website will appear on the screen.
  • Sign up for first time users and fill in the relevant details.
  • Users will receive their ID and password to surf the internet.
